We decided on Marine Green. Now it looks like something the military would use.
This is the first picture of John that I’ve posted. I’m his apprentice in carpentry/jack of all trades. He’s my “apprentice” at the forge. ;P
We also started to experiment with melting down aluminum cans. That last picture of the silver blob, that’s three cans melted down.

Went to First Monday in Canton this weekend and picked up a Buffalo Forge Company Model 500 blower for $75.
Good deal, considering it’s condition.
First picture is not mine, just what it looked like. We used a wire-cup attachment on the angle-grinder and stripped the rust and paint off. We then applied a coat of primer. Next week, we decide on a color.

*edit* They are leaf pendants. (need a better phone/camera)
If you walked into my shop and saw these, how much would you pay for one?

Raised the anvil with a taller log. No more pain for my back.
Made a huge score at the railroad tracks. Guess I know what I’m making in the coming weeks.
I’m also experimenting with spray paint for a finish on pendants…I think I like them with the clear coat. We’ll see how the paint holds up to normal wear and tear.

I went to a garage sale in the neighborhood yesterday and found these two kukris for a dollar a piece.
The previous owners got them from their guides in Nepal. Not sure on authenticity, but for $1, it’s a nice find to add to my collection.
